Gastronomy in the spotlight

A not-to-be-missed event at the start of the Aurillac summer, the Festival des Goudots Gourmands is a gastronomic and cultural showcase designed to promote local products and develop the image of our region in a festive atmosphere.

For several days, the town of Aurillac is transformed into a veritable gourmet market, where tasting stands, culinary demonstrations and workshops follow one another. Visitors can discover and taste a wide variety of regional specialities.

The name “Goudots” refers to a local term for gourmands, those who like to eat well, and it’s this passion for good food and quality products that is celebrated here.

Gourmet pudding competition

The traditional Goudots Gourmands competition is organized by the Tourist Office, where the public is invited to taste and rate, by category, specialties produced by several Cantalien professionals.

Once again this year, the products selected will showcase some of our region’s must-tries, as well as introducing new gourmet flavors revisited for the event.
