Show sound and light
Since its creation,“Les Gens d’ici” has established itself as one of the region’s must-see cultural events.
Every year, over 150 enthusiastic volunteers come together to bring this historical fresco to life, tracing the life of a Cantal village through the ages. The show, which lasts almost two hours, combines theater, music and lighting effects to offer an immersive experience for spectators.
The story follows the intertwined destinies of Baptiste and Pierrot, two men deeply attached to their native land. Through their journeys, the show tackles universal themes: attachment to one’s roots, the choice between leaving or staying, and the transmission of values. Audiences are invited to share in the characters’ joys, sorrows and dilemmas, reflecting timeless questions about identity and belonging.
