The Gorges de la Jordanne, just a few kilometers from Aurillac, offer a spectacular natural setting, ideal for hiking, nature and adventure enthusiasts. A must-see destination for all those wishing to discover the wild, unspoilt beauty of the region. On a 4 km round trip, plunge into an exceptional natural space through gorges ranging from 20 m to 60 m in depth, carved by water over the centuries into volcanic breccias.

For the more adventurous, the Gorges de la Jordanne offer the perfect setting for thrilling activities. MurMur&Nature invites you to take to the skies and cross the river on monkey bridges, zip lines and via ferrata.

Accompanied by experienced guides, you can descend the river, crossing waterfalls and swimming in natural pools. It’s a unique experience that combines adrenalin and natural discovery. However, please note that some activities, notably canyoning, are not available this year.

  • Access

    The Gorges de la Jordanne are accessible by car from Aurillac, following the signs for Saint-Cirgues-de-Jordanne. The site is open from May to October, with seasonally-adapted opening times.

  • Opening hours

    From 01/06 to 30/06, daily.
    (out of season, weather permitting + groups on reservation)
    Monday to Friday, 2pm to 6pm, weekends 9:30am to 7:30pm.

    From 01/07 to 31/08, daily from 9.30am to 8pm.

    From 01/09 to 30/09, daily.
    Monday to Friday 2pm to 6pm, weekends 10am to 6pm.

    Subject to favorable weather conditions.

  • Advice and recommendations

    To make the most of your visit, we recommend that you wear comfortable hiking boots, bring water, and wear weather-appropriate clothing. Don’t forget your camera to capture the beauty of the landscape.
