La Plantelière

Nestled in Arpajon-sur-Cère, La Plantelière is an exceptional natural site that offers a true immersion in the beauty of the Auvergne landscape. This verdant, easily accessible area is ideal for nature lovers and families looking for a peaceful place to recharge their batteries.

La Plantelière welcomes the public – walkers, families, groups of friends, school groups and groups from social and leisure centers – all year round. To do so, it has a reception building with an architecture that combines glass facades and woodwork, and is designed to respect the environment. La Plantelière covers an area of 7 hectares, and is an ideal place to discover the flora and fauna of the region. It is made up of numerous areas, with a wide variety of trees.
Outside, explanatory panels enable visitors to explore the site independently (accessible to people with reduced mobility).

Trails for everyone

La Plantelière offers a number of signposted trails where you can discover the local flora and fauna. Enjoy the fresh air and magnificent views as you hike, jog or simply take a leisurely stroll.

A place to relax

Bring your own packed lunch and enjoy a meal with family and friends, surrounded by birdsong and the whisper of wind in the trees.

Events and activities

3 orienteering routes are available: the “little explorer”, “nurseryman” and “surveyor” circuits. The maps can be downloaded (from caba.fr/plantelière) and are available at the Plantelière, where you can check that you’ve completed the route correctly using a control panel. A fun way to test your sense of direction and botanical knowledge!

Large wooden games, entirely designed by the Oxygène association, are also available: the millstone game, the massacre game, the boule à niche game, Puissance 4 and the gruyère game.

Access and practical information
